emm....salam

Hidup mesti bersatu...bersatu kita teguh becerai kita roboh..robah uitm roboh melayu...melayu mudah lupa..lupa yang kita adalah saudara...saudara sesama islam...islam adalah agama kita...kita hidup hanya sekali...sekali kita jatuh kita pasti bangkit kembali...kembali pada ALLAH SWT

Ntah ler....

Jadi sekiranya diberi peluang berlari, jadi berlarilah... Usah berjalan...

C & K Landscape Design

This garden was featured on the HGTV program "Designing for the Sexes". The project was selected by HGTV because of the dramatic way in which the clients lost their landscape. They found out that they had a serious fungus problem infesting there home. All of the irrigation had to be shut off without delay. As a result, the entire landscape, which the homeowners had installed themselves, died. As their back yard quickly became a desert, the homeowners sadly watched the product of their efforts wither away.

HGTV found out about their loss and my clients agreed to have their project installed as part of the show. This is a beautiful home nestled in the foothills, surrounded by views of mountains. We were able to design and install for them a landscape that improved upon the one they lost. We provided them with a wonderful new patio, vegetable and herb gardens, a lovely water feature, perennial and wildflower plantings, sitting areas to maximize their views and play areas for their daughter.

The clients were delighted with the results. It was hard for them to stand back and leave the work to us because they were so used to doing it all themselves. They were thrilled with the finished product. They had not realized the quality and extra dimensions a professional landscape company could provide.

BEAUTY AND THE TURF

How can an empty artificial turf field in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland, be just as popular as the carefully designed plaza space nearby?

Located less than a block apart, the two most successful spaces in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland, could not be more different. Silver Plaza is a triangular space with a water feature where children can play. The plaza has tile mosaics, a mix of seating, and raised planting beds with shade trees.

The Turf (which has no official name) is an empty field covered in artificial turf. When it comes to design, there’s not much to it. Yet, without any seating or organized programming, the Turf can still draw more than 200 people on a Friday or Saturday night.

Looking at these two spaces, it’s hard not to wonder if good design really matters to the success of a space. If you can just throw down some artificial turf and bring in hundreds of people, who really needs landscape architects? After all, isn’t it just the location of both spaces that makes them so well used? If there weren’t restaurants surrounding them and clothing stores, movie theaters, and a bookstore nearby, would anyone show up?

Some people probably wouldn’t. When asked what they liked most about these spaces, many visitors mention the restaurants, shops, and theaters nearby.

Even James R. Urban, FASLA, the landscape architect who designed the layout for Silver Plaza, admits that the retail component played a big role in the space’s success. “The one thing that has just amazed everyone is its success from day one,” says Urban. “Design didn’t have a huge amount to do with that. I think the bigger picture ideas, the organization of the spaces, and the retail mix were more important to the site.”

However, the energy from the retail does not act alone. According to the people who visit these landscapes, design does play a role in their success. Even at the Turf, the features of the space itself are part of the draw.

Tree of the day

The Rain Tree

Samanea saman is known under a wide range of common names, such as Saman, Rain Tree or Monkey Pod. It is often placed in the genus Samanea, which by yet other authors is subsumed in Albizia entirely. This legume tree is native to the mainland neotropics, from Mexico south to Peru and Brazil, but has been widely introduced to the Pacific islands, including HawaiÊ»i.

Saman is a wide-canopied tree with a large symmetrical crown. It usually reaches a height of 25 meters and a diameter of 40 meters. The leaves fold in rainy weather and in the evening, hence the name Rain Tree and '5 o'clock Tree'(Pukul Lima) in Malay. Several lineages of this tree are available e.g. with reddish pink and creamish golden colored flowers.

Kekadang.....

Kekadang…

Dia memberi sebelum sempat kita menadah tangan untuk meminta,

Kerana Dia sangat mengerti keperluan hambaNya

Kekadang…

Dia mengambil sebelum sempat kita bersedia,

Kerana hendak mengukur tahap keimanan kita kepadaNya,

Kerana cara itulah Dia mentarbiah hambaNya,

Diberi ujian untuk mendekatkan hamba kepadaNya,

Dan melebarkan jalan buat si hamba,

Dalam kembara menuju syurga nan abadi.

fikirkan masa depan...

Wahahaha!!
